Obituary for Richard "Ricky" Moccia

Richard A. “Ricky” Moccia, age 40, of West Palm Beach and formerly of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday September 8, 2009.
Ricky was born in Derby on Nov. 2, 1968 beloved son of Dorothy Carlucci Moccia of Shelton, and the late Anthony J. Moccia and has been a FL resident since 2004.
Ricky was a graduate of Shelton High School class of 1986, University of CT 1991, Magna Cum Laude, and worked many years as a Sales Executive in Communications. He was recognized nationwide as a number one sales representative two years in a row. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating. Ricky was generous and loving to his nieces and nephews who were the light of his life.
Ricky is the loving brother of Joseph Moccia and his wife Bobbi, Cynthia Early and her husband Jack, Diana Cirillo and her husband Gary, Jenine Mastrony and her husband Joseph, Sheila Krentzman and her husband James; cherished uncle of Jack Early, Gary and Adam Cirillo, Alexa and Joseph Mastrony, Brianna Krentzman, Vanessa and Anthony Moccia, and Thomas Wildey. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by 2 brothers Anthony Moccia, Jr., and David Moccia.
Friends may greet his family on Sunday from 3 to 7 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Monday his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church Shelton, burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby.
